The Service

Understanding thoracic cancers.

Thoracic cancers develop in the chest and may affect the lungs, oesophagus or chest wall. Assessment brings together clinical examination, imaging, biopsy findings and other investigations to understand the type of cancer and how far it has spread.

Dr. Harish Kumar H’s documented experience in thoracic oncosurgery includes open lung surgery and minimally invasive oesophagectomy. Whether surgery is appropriate depends on the individual diagnosis, fitness for an operation and discussion with the treating multidisciplinary team.
